Banking in Chamankot

There is a dire need to install an automated teller machine (ATM) in Chamankot area in Azad Kashmir’s Bagh district. The nearest ATM is located several kilometres away, which causes inconvenience to the residents and makes them vulnerable to mugging and other criminal activities. Further, the absence of an ATM facility also affects local businesses as they struggle with cash tran- sactions and face challenges in depositing their earnings. Chamankot is surrounded by many villages, and it is important to have an ATM facility there. The relevant banking authorities should consider the proposal as it would greatly benefit the community and improve the overall quality of life in the area.
