Political unrest

Various political parties have been talking of holding mass protests against alleged rigging in the recent elections. In a nation already teetering on the brink of political and economic turmoil, such allegations and protests could deepen the fault lines within society. Grievances must be addressed through established legal channels and trans- parent investigations, not through disruptive spectacle of mass protests blocking roads and streets, causing inconvenience to the common man. It is incumbent upon all parties to uphold the rule of law, rather than resorting to theatrics that serve only to undermine the very foundations of our democracy.
