The use of gas cylinders has been on the rise owing to disruptions in the supply of natural gas. There is no standardised quality control mechanism involved in the manufacturing of these cylinders. Having such substandard gas cylinders is like having live bombs in one’s house or workplace, which is extremely dangerous. The local manufacturers should be encouraged to set up their plants with a guarantee that they will produce only quality cylinders that meet international standards.
