Rabies vaccine

There is a severe shortage of rabies vaccine in the province of Balochistan. It not only poses a direct threat to individuals at the risk of exposure to rabies, but also raises concerns about a potential public health crisis in the region. Rabies is transmitted through animal saliva, and is fatal once the symptoms become visible. It is crucial to administer the rabies vaccine as promptly as possible to prevent the disease from setting in after the exposure. The shortage of rabies vaccine is caused by a number of factors, such as inadequate and ineffective supply chains, logistical challenges, and a general lack of aware- ness about the importance of rabies prevention. An immediate intervention is needed to prevent fatalities.
