Stadium at stake

The national game is already in the doldrums, moving from one crisis to another and from one embarrassment to another, and the recent political gathering at the National Stadium in Lahore for which the artificial playing surface was removed by the authorities was a symbolic representation of how much we care about our national game. The rally was held on a single day, but the disruption in training will linger on for several days, which will be the actual loss caused by the incident.
