Engineers laud A.Q. Khan’s services for country

LAHORE: A condolence reference of the executive council of engineers’ study forum Pakistan was held under the chair of Mian Fazal Ahmad at a local hotel.

The participants expressed their condolences over the passing away of the national hero Abdul Qadeer Khan and termed it a collective loss of the engineering community.

Speakers said Khan’s achievements transformed Pakistan into the world’s first Muslim majority nuclear-powered nation. Khan set up Pakistan’s first uranium enrichment plant through a centrifuge enrichment process which has been done by a few nuclear powers.

Khan’s extraordinary achievements will be long remembered in history, the participants spoke.
