Influencer booked over assault, firing
Police in Lahore have registered a case against social media influencer Rajab Butt and several others over an alleged assault and firing incident at a Nawab Town cafe. The FIR names Mir Shafee as the suspect accused of opening fire.
LAHORE: Police have registered a case against social media influencer Rajab Butt and several others after an alleged assault and firing incident at a cafe in Nawab Town.
The first information report, lodged at Nawab Town police station on the complaint of Ayesha Sharafat, states that she and two friends went to the cafe at about 4am when they were confronted by two men and two women.
According to the FIR, the complainant and her friends were assaulted during the altercation. It adds that two male suspects pulled out pistols, while one of them, identified as Mir Shafee, allegedly opened fire.
The complainant alleged in the case that the assault was carried out at the behest of Rajab Butt. Police booked the suspects on allegations including assault, criminal intimidation and firing.
