DeepSeek weighs fresh fundraising at higher valuation, FT says
DeepSeek is considering another fundraising round roughly a month after closing its first financing, according to the Financial Times. The Chinese AI startup could seek a valuation of about $71 billion before the deal.

BEIJING: Chinese artificial intelligence startup DeepSeek has begun early discussions with prospective investors about raising more capital, about a month after the company completed its first funding round.
The new round under consideration would value DeepSeek at about $71 billion before the deal. The company did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
DeepSeek closed its first-ever financing round around the end of May. That round raised about $7 billion and valued the company at $52 billion, including the new funds.
The latest fundraising talks are still at a preliminary stage, indicating that DeepSeek is exploring investor interest soon after securing its initial outside capital.
