LAHORE: A 13-year-old boy died and two other people were injured after a speeding car struck two motorcycles in Lahore’s Askari 10 area, according to a First Information Report registered at North Cantt police station.

The FIR, lodged under Section 322 of the Pakistan Penal Code, was filed on the complaint of Muhammad Imran Yaseen. He told police that his nephew, Subhan, was riding as a pillion passenger on a motorcycle driven by his friend Ayan Babar as they were returning from a market when the crash took place.

According to the complaint, the car was allegedly being driven at high speed and was racing another vehicle when it hit Ayan Babar’s motorcycle and then crashed into a second motorbike ridden by Abu Bakar. The impact threw all three victims onto the road.

Security personnel present at the scene called an ambulance and the injured were taken to nearby hospitals. Subhan was shifted to Rangers Hospital, where he later died of his injuries, while Ayan Babar and Abu Bakar were stated to be under treatment. The complainant also asked police to secure CCTV footage from the area for the investigation.
