Nine policemen martyred in terrorist attack on police post in Ziarat
At least nine policemen, including two SHOs, were killed in a terrorist attack on a police post in Ziarat on Tuesday. Officials said five policemen were still missing after the assault in the Mangi Dam area.

QUETTA: At least nine policemen, including two station house officers, were killed in a terrorist attack on a police post in Balochistan's Ziarat district on Tuesday, officials said.
Ziarat Deputy Commissioner Abdul Qudoos Achakzai said the attack took place in the Mangi Dam area and confirmed that nine police personnel had been martyred. He said two senior officers were among the dead.
The deputy commissioner also said the whereabouts of five policemen remained unknown after the assault. He added that more personnel had been sent to the area.
In a separate statement, Balochistan Chief Minister's aide for media and political affairs Shahid Rind also confirmed the death toll. He said those killed included the SHOs of Mangi and Kawas police stations, as well as the in-charge of the Anti-Terrorist Force. Rind said Fitna al Khawarij were behind the attack, a term used by the state for members of the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan.
