Huzaifa and Huzaima win Pakistan Padel Ranking Cup in Karachi

KARACHI: The Pakistan Padel Ranking Cup 2026 concluded at Sport On in Clifton after three days of competition from July 3 to 5, with Huzaifa and Huzaima taking the men’s title and Meheq Khokhar and Asfa Shahbaz winning the women’s doubles championship.

The event was organised by the Pakistan Padel Federation under the auspices of the International Padel Federation. According to the federation, the tournament brought together leading players from across Pakistan in men’s, women’s and junior categories, with official national ranking points, places in consideration for upcoming international events, cash prizes, trophies and certificates on offer.

Junior winners announced

The junior titles were decided across several age groups. In Boys Under-12, Daud Ali and Ahmed Jawad were crowned champions. Rayyan Faizan and Muhammad Bin Haris won the Boys Under-14 category, while Mueez Allawala and Asher Allawala claimed the Boys Under-16 title. In Boys Under-18, Mustafa Azad and Habib Haseeb finished as champions, and in Girls Under-18, Alesha Elahi and Eschelle secured top honours.

The closing ceremony was attended by Pakistan Padel Federation President Muhammad Mateen as chief guest. Guests of honour included Sindh Olympic Association Secretary General Ahmed Ali Rajput, Sindh Police Sports Board Secretary Saeed Ahmed, PTF Secretary Maqbool Ahmed, PPF Vice President Danish Ahmed and Sport On CEO Farhan Ahmed.

Cash prizes worth Rs600,000 distributed

At the ceremony, the chief guest distributed trophies, shields, certificates and cash prizes worth Rs600,000 among winners and runners-up. Speaking at the event, Mateen congratulated the participating athletes and praised the standard of competition.

He said the Pakistan Padel Federation remained committed to expanding the sport in the country in line with the rules and development programmes of the International Padel Federation. He also said the Pakistan Padel Ranking Cup served as the federation’s official national ranking event and was important for spotting players for Pakistan’s participation in regional and international competitions, including future FIP and Asian events.

The federation also thanked Sport On for hosting the championship and acknowledged the role of technical officials, referees, volunteers, sponsors, media representatives and participating players in the event’s successful staging. It said it would continue to organise more national ranking competitions to support the growth of padel in Pakistan and create wider international opportunities for emerging players.
