LAHORE: Police have arrested a man and his father after a woman was allegedly beaten and had her hair cut during a domestic dispute, according to officials.
A police spokesperson said the main accused, identified as Ali Shan, allegedly attacked his wife with the help of his father, Mehar Ali, after an argument at home. The woman was subjected to severe physical violence during the incident, police said, and her hair was forcibly cut.
Police said the arrests were made after a complaint was received. Garh police station SHO Muhammad Usman then moved to detain both suspects.
Officials said the two men were taken into custody following the action launched by the police station after the complaint was lodged. No further details were provided in the statement carried by officials on Sunday.
