Govt launches home delivery service for passports
The Directorate General of Immigration and Passports has launched a home delivery service for passports in partnership with TCS. Officials say the initiative is aimed at improving convenience, efficiency and secure delivery for applicants.

ISLAMABAD: The Directorate General of Immigration and Passports (DGIP) has launched a home delivery facility for passports in partnership with courier and logistics company TCS, according to a press release issued on Saturday.
The new service, titled Passport Aapki Dehleez Par, will allow citizens to receive their passports at addresses of their choice. The press release said the initiative is intended to make passport collection more convenient for applicants and to support the wider modernisation of public service delivery.
The service was formally introduced during a meeting at DGIP headquarters, where officials also reviewed broader cooperation aimed at improving passport-related operations and the overall experience for citizens. The discussions included TCS’s role as the department’s official logistics partner and the arrangements put in place for the secure and timely delivery of passports across the country.
DGIP Director General Muhammad Ali Randhawa said the initiative was part of the department’s effort to make passport services more accessible and efficient. He said home delivery would reduce the need for repeated visits to passport offices while maintaining a secure collection process.
Speaking at the launch, TCS Chief Executive Officer Hassan Raza Leghari said the company was committed to supporting digital governance and citizen-focused services. He said TCS was proud to work with DGIP in taking an important public service directly to people’s homes.

Leghari said passports were sensitive and important documents, and added that the company would use its nationwide logistics network to ensure safe, secure and timely delivery.
“Passports are highly confidential and important documents. Leveraging our nationwide logistics network and service excellence, we are committed to ensuring that every passport reaches its recipient safely, securely, and on time.”, he added.
Earlier in May, DGIP had announced plans to roll out passport home delivery across the country and introduce a chatbot to assist applicants.
