Bugti assures relief and rehabilitation for quake-hit families in Kingri

QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti has said the provincial government is using all available resources to provide relief and essential support to families affected by the recent earthquake in Kingri tehsil of Musakhel district.

In a message shared on social media, the chief minister said the government was fully aware of the hardships being faced by the affected families and assured them they would not be abandoned during the crisis.

Bugti said that, on his instructions, the relief commissioner and the director general of the Provincial Disaster Management Authority visited the earthquake-affected areas, carried out a damage assessment and distributed relief goods among impacted families.

He said immediate relief, rehabilitation and the provision of basic facilities to the victims had become the government’s foremost priority.

The chief minister directed the district administration, PDMA and other relevant institutions to speed up relief operations and ensure that aid distribution remained transparent, timely and free of discrimination so assistance could reach every deserving family.

He also instructed all concerned departments to maintain continuous oversight of the situation in the affected areas and to continue coordinated relief efforts.

According to the chief minister, a comprehensive survey of losses will be completed soon, after which measures will be taken for the rehabilitation of families affected by the earthquake.
