Bugti orders immediate action on University of Makran issues
Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti has ordered the education department to immediately address administrative and academic issues at the University of Makran in Panjgur. He also inaugurated restoration work at Shah Qalandar’s shrine completed at a cost of Rs18 million.

QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti has directed the provincial education department to immediately resolve administrative and academic challenges faced by the University of Makran in Panjgur, reiterating the government’s focus on improving higher education facilities in the region.
Officials said the chief minister issued the instructions during his visit to Panjgur, where he also announced multiple initiatives aimed at cultural preservation, women’s empowerment, and addressing public grievances.
As part of heritage conservation efforts, Bugti inaugurated the restoration and renovation project of the shrine of Sufi saint Shah Qalandar. The project, completed at a cost of Rs18 million, was funded by the provincial government and executed by the Frontier Corps Balochistan (South) with technical assistance from the Walled City of Lahore Authority.
