Punjab police head constable booked over unauthorised foreign trips
A Punjab Patrolling Police head constable has been booked in Jaranwala over allegedly making multiple foreign trips without departmental approval. Police said he was also found absent from duty and efforts to arrest him are under way.

JARANWALA: A head constable of the Punjab Patrolling Police has been booked after an inquiry found that he had allegedly travelled abroad several times on a private passport without securing departmental permission or the required no-objection certificate.
Police said the official, identified as Head Constable Asghar Ali of Jaranwala, was also found absent from duty. The matter came to light during an inquiry, which concluded that he had allegedly made multiple overseas visits without obtaining official approval, in breach of government and police rules.
According to police, the case was registered on the orders of Patrolling SSP Mirza Anjum Kamal. Kotwali police then lodged the case under Section 420 of the Pakistan Penal Code and Article 155-C of the Police Order 2002.
Police said efforts were under way to arrest the suspect following the registration of the case.
