China commends Pakistan’s role in regional de-escalation
China has praised Pakistan’s contribution to regional de-escalation during a meeting between Ambassador Jiang Zaidong and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar in Islamabad. Dar also shared updates on talks in Switzerland and his recent visit to Cairo.

ISLAMABAD: China has conveyed its appreciation for Pakistan’s part in efforts to reduce regional tensions, with Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong meeting Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar in the federal capital on Monday.
During the meeting, the Chinese envoy communicated Beijing’s praise for what was described as Pakistan’s successful contribution to de-escalation efforts. He also reaffirmed China’s firm backing for Pakistan’s mediation role aimed at advancing lasting peace and stability in the region.
Dar, briefed the ambassador on recent high-level talks held in Bürgenstock, Switzerland, on the implementation of the Islamabad MoU. He also referred to his recent visit to Cairo, where he took part in the R-4 Regional Foreign Ministers’ Meeting.
