QUETTA: A protest campaign by the Balochistan Grand Alliance continued for a fifth straight day on Monday, with government offices and institutions across the province remaining closed.
The alliance said employees had stayed united over what it described as their legitimate and constitutional demands, and its leaders said the movement would continue until those demands were accepted.
The group also condemned the police action taken during the June 17 protest, including shelling and a baton charge. It called for immediate justice for employees who were injured in the clashes.
The alliance further demanded the release of more than 50 workers who, it said, are still being held in different jails.
