Three abducted in separate incidents in Bannu’s Miryan tehsil

BANNU: Three men were abducted in separate incidents in different parts of Miryan tehsil on Thursday, police said, prompting recovery efforts and adding to anxiety among residents of the area.

According to police, unidentified armed men kidnapped Gul Najeeb Khan, son of Mir Dadullah Jan and a resident of Zonda Ghaibi, in the jurisdiction of Miryan police station. He was taken to an undisclosed location, while his family voiced concern and called for his immediate recovery.

In another incident in the Manday Chowk area, armed kidnappers abducted Hussain, around 19, the son of Damsaz Khan and a resident of Mambati Barakzai. Police said the motive behind the abduction was not yet known and that investigators were examining the case from multiple angles.

A third case was reported from Noorar, also within the limits of Miryan police station, where unidentified armed men allegedly kidnapped Fayaz, son of Shah Baraz, and took him to an unknown location. Police officials said inquiries into all three incidents were under way and that search operations and intelligence-based efforts had been launched for the safe recovery of the abducted men.
