Iran sets July 4-9 funeral schedule for Ayatollah Ali Khamenei
Iran has announced that funeral and burial rites for former supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei will run from July 4 to 9. The ceremonies will begin in Tehran, include Qom, and end with his burial in Mashhad.

TEHRAN: Iran will hold funeral and burial ceremonies for former supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei from July 4 to July 9, according to an official schedule released for the multi-city rites.
The arrangements begin in the capital, where his body is to lie in state at the Tehran Mosalla from July 4 to 5 for public viewing. A large public funeral procession and ceremony is scheduled in Tehran on July 6.
The rites will then move to Qom, where funeral ceremonies are due to take place on July 7. The multi-day observances will conclude in Mashhad, Khamenei's hometown, where he is to be buried on July 9.
The official itinerary indicates that the ceremonies will span several cities, starting in Tehran and ending with his interment in Mashhad.
