Three killed in Israeli strikes in south Lebanon

BEIRUT: Three people were killed in Israeli drone strikes in southern Lebanon on Thursday, according to Lebanon's state-run National News Agency, hours after the United States and Iran signed an agreement aimed at ending the Middle East war.

The NNA said a drone strike hit a car in the Kfar Tebnit area, killing two people. In a separate attack in the nearby village of Zebdine, another drone strike killed one person, the agency reported.

On the Israeli side, the military announced that one of its soldiers had been killed overnight in an incident in southern Lebanon. Seven other soldiers were also wounded in the same incident.

Hezbollah, the Iran-backed armed group, brought Lebanon into the wider regional war in March when it attacked Israel after the killing of Iran's supreme leader at the start of the US-Israeli campaign.
