CTD official dies after firing incident in Nushki
A CTD official, Baba Jan Muhammad Hassni, died after being wounded in a firing incident at Ahmedwal Chowk in Nushki, according to Shahid Rind. The Balochistan chief minister has ordered an immediate investigation and steps to arrest the attackers.

QUETTA: A Counter-Terrorism Department official died after sustaining injuries in a firing incident in the Ahmedwal area of Nushki district, according to Balochistan Chief Minister's Special Assistant on Media and Political Affairs Shahid Rind.
Rind said the shooting took place at Ahmedwal Chowk in Nushki. The injured official, identified as CTD personnel Baba Jan Muhammad Hassni, was taken to hospital but later succumbed to his wounds.
Expressing condolences to the bereaved family, Rind said the provincial government stood with them in their grief. He also denounced the attack and said those behind such acts would not succeed.
"The sacrifices of our martyrs will not go in vain," he said.
Rind said Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti had taken serious notice of the incident and directed the relevant authorities to immediately investigate the case and take necessary steps to arrest those responsible. He said law enforcement agencies were reviewing different aspects of the incident and that the Balochistan government would continue operations against terrorism, extremism and criminal elements with full force, using all available resources to restore peace and stability in the province.
