PPPP, IPP agree to coordinate on GB govt formation
The PPPP and IPP have agreed to jointly handle key political matters in Gilgit-Baltistan, including government formation. The understanding was reached during a meeting of the parties’ central and provincial leaders in Gilgit.

GILGIT: The Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians and the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party have agreed to work in coordination on political and administrative matters in Gilgit-Baltistan, including the formation of the next regional government.
The understanding was reached during a meeting in Gilgit attended by the central and provincial leadership of both parties. The two sides reviewed the current political situation in the region, public concerns, issues linked to Gilgit-Baltistan’s interests, and matters related to setting up a government.
They also discussed the future political agenda and welfare-related issues in detail. Both parties agreed that key decisions, particularly those concerning government formation in Gilgit-Baltistan, would be advanced through consultation, consensus and decisions endorsed by the central leadership of the two parties.
The PPPP and IPP also said cooperation between them was necessary to meet public expectations, strengthen political stability and improve governance. They further reaffirmed a joint commitment to contribute to the region’s development, public service and political stability.
