Former policeman remanded in wife's murder case

Former policeman remanded in wife's murder case

ISLAMABAD: A judicial magistrate in Islamabad on Wednesday handed a former police officer to investigators for three days in a case related to the alleged murder of his wife.

The suspect, Tariq Mahmood, was brought before Judicial Magistrate Mubashir Hassan Chishti by capital police officials, who sought his physical remand for further investigation.

During the hearing, the investigation officer told the court that the accused still needed to be questioned and said police were trying to recover the alleged weapon used in the case.

After hearing the request, the magistrate approved a three-day physical remand of the former policeman.
