ISLAMABAD: Aleema Khan, the sister of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, said on Tuesday that she did not accept the medical report issued by the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) about her brother’s health.
In a post on X, Aleema said the party also rejected the government’s position on the matter. She questioned the credibility of PIMS, referring to what she described as previous questionable claims made by the hospital regarding Imran Khan’s condition.
Aleema said PIMS had earlier claimed that Imran Khan’s eyesight had recovered to 90 per cent, but said that account was later contradicted by Imran himself when his lawyer met him at Adiala Jail.
"We reject any medical reports issued by PIMS regarding Imran's health. The same institution has made dubious claims in the past, including the assertion that Imran's vision had been restored to 90 per cent. Subsequently, when his lawyer met him in Adiala Jail, Imran himself dismissed these claims," she said.
