Aleema Khan raises concern over Imran Khan health, seeks hospital transfer

RAWALPINDI: Aleema Khan on Tuesday expressed concern over Imran Khan’s health, saying his condition is deteriorating and calling for his transfer to Shifa International Hospital in the presence of his family.

She said his condition was worsening day by day and warned that after one eye, there was now a risk of the other eye also being affected. She added that earlier improvement following an injection had reversed, with his health declining again.

She also alleged that jail authorities were sharing misleading information about his condition.

Commenting on legal matters, she said Salman Safdar is a professional lawyer and clarified that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf was not involved in any campaign against him.

Earlier, she had said that Imran Khan remains the party’s leader and reiterated that she is not seeking any formal role, stating that her focus is to support him during what she described as a critical period.

She added that after his removal from government, he launched what she called a resistance movement, which she said had increased public awareness about democratic rights and political accountability.
