Pakistan Police athlete clinches silver at Junior National Athletics Championship

• Moazzama secures 400m silver medal at Peshawar 2026 event

• Teams from armed forces and provinces compete in national championship

 LAHORE: Pakistan Police woman athlete Moazzama delivered an impressive performance at the 6th Junior National Athletics Championship Peshawar 2026, winning a silver medal in the 400-metre race.

According to a Punjab Police spokesperson, teams from across the country, including Pakistan Navy, Pakistan Air Force, WAPDA, Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, and Gilgit-Baltistan, participated in the championship. Despite strong competition, Pakistan Police athlete Moazzama demonstrated exceptional skill, determination, and consistency to secure the silver medal.

Inspector General of Police Punjab, Abdul Kareem, congratulated athlete Moazzama on her achievement and appreciated her hard work, dedication, and outstanding performance. He said the achievements of Pakistan Police women athletes were a source of pride and helped project a positive image of the department at the national level.

IG Punjab further stated that athletes who bring honour to the department and the country by winning medals in national and international events were a matter of great pride for Punjab Police. He added that full encouragement and support would continue to be extended to such talented athletes.

Director General Pakistan Police Sports Board, Additional IG Imran Arshad, and Chief Sports Officer DIG Athar Ismail Amjad also congratulated athlete Moazzama on her achievement and extended their best wishes for her continued success.
