LAHORE: Pakistan Police athletes put up a strong showing at the 35th National Games Karachi 2025, clinching seven bronze medals in the Taekwondo event and underscoring the growing strength and consistency of police sports talent at the national level.
The commendable performance earned widespread appreciation from senior police leadership, who termed the achievement a source of pride for the force.
Sharing details, a Punjab Police spokesperson said police athletes Parvaiz Ahmad and Irum Khanum secured bronze medals in the under-50 category, while Anum Khalid claimed a bronze medal in the under-40 category. The pair of Fazilat Bibi and Aaliya also delivered an outstanding performance to win a bronze medal.

In the team category, the trio of Anum Khalid, Fazilat Bibi and Aaliya added another bronze to Pakistan Police’s tally. Meanwhile, Abdul Waheed and Zeeshan Hassan bagged bronze medals in the over-30 men’s category, and Mehmood Azmat teamed up with Anum Khalid to win a bronze medal in another over-30 category contest.

Congratulating the athletes on their achievements, President of the All Pakistan Police Sports Board and Punjab IG Police Dr Usman Anwar said Pakistan Police athletes were consistently delivering excellent performances in national-level competitions. He added that their success reflected the department’s commitment to promoting sports and nurturing talent alongside professional duties.
Director General Pakistan Police Sports Board Additional IG Imran Arshad and Chief Sports Officer DIG Athar Ismail also lauded the medal winners, appreciating their dedication, discipline and competitive spirit, and paid tribute to the winning teams for bringing honour to the Pakistan Police at the prestigious national event.
