Alhamra stages evening of folk and classical music in Lahore

LAHORE: The Lahore Arts Council, Alhamra, organised a musical evening in Lahore celebrating Pakistan’s folk and classical traditions, bringing together two performers for a programme centred on cultural heritage and live performance.

The event featured folk singer Lone Wala and classical vocalist Nadeem Riaz Malik. According to the organiser, their performances kept the audience engaged through the evening as the programme moved between folk expression and classical form.

Alhamra presented the event as a showcase of the range within Pakistan’s musical legacy. The evening combined folk songs with classical ragas, highlighting both traditions in a single performance programme.

The Lahore Arts Council said the event was aimed at offering audiences an immersive cultural experience while promoting artistic excellence and the preservation of musical heritage.
