Court maintains non-bailable warrants for KP CM Sohail Afridi

ISLAMABAD: A district and sessions court in Islamabad on Monday maintained the non-bailable arrest warrants issued for Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi in a case concerning alleged misleading accusations against state institutions and attempts to harm their reputation.

The matter was heard by Senior Civil Judge Abbas Shah at the District and Sessions Court of Islamabad. During the hearing, the court noted Afridi’s absence and decided to keep the previously issued non-bailable warrants in place.

The court also directed the authorities to arrest the accused and present him before the court. Judge Abbas Shah ordered the police to take Afridi into custody and produce him before the court in line with the warrants.
