According to police officials, the suspects opened celebratory fire with illegal weapons, putting public safety at risk. The footage prompted Haripur District Police Officer Shafiullah Gandapur to take notice and direct immediate action against those involved.

Following those orders, Sarai Saleh police carried out a raid and detained the five suspects. Police identified them as Shoaib, son of Cesar Khan; Nisar, son of Mukhtar Khan; and Khan Baz, son of Nazar Ahmed Khan, all residents of Chitti Dhaki; along with Pervez Khan, son of Shamrez Khan, a resident of Rawalpindi; and Inam Parcha, son of Naim Parcha, a resident of Waris Khan, Rawalpindi.

Police said firearms and ammunition were also recovered from the arrested men. The suspects were booked and moved to lock-up, while officials said further raids were continuing to arrest other people allegedly involved in the incident and that a search operation was still underway in the area.
