Chaudhry Nisar recovering after surgery, aide says

TAXILA: Former federal interior minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan is recovering after undergoing surgery at a private hospital, according to family members and close associates.

His close aide, Sheikh Zeeshan Saeed, said on Wednesday that the veteran politician’s condition had improved notably over the past few days and that he had begun walking more comfortably as part of his recovery.

Saeed said medical sources had confirmed that the procedure was completed successfully and without complications, while doctors were satisfied with his post-operative progress and had described his condition as stable. He added that Chaudhry Nisar was responding well to treatment and rehabilitation and that his recovery had been better than expected.

Saeed further said doctors had advised the 71-year-old politician to rest and observe precautionary measures for complete healing. Chaudhry Nisar had been dealing with mobility problems after suffering a fracture that affected his movement and overall health. Following medical treatment and continued monitoring, the injury has healed considerably, allowing him to resume limited physical activity.
