Financial relief announced for educators’ families
The Rawalpindi District Education Authority has approved Rs42.1 million for the heirs of 15 employees who died in service. It has also sanctioned Rs64.928 million for 163 pending leave encashment cases.

RAWALPINDI: The District Education Authority in Rawalpindi has approved financial assistance for the legal heirs of 15 teachers and other education employees who died while in service, according to the authority.
The approved amount totals Rs42.1 million under the government’s Financial Assistance Package, with disbursement orders issued for the payments. The step is aimed at providing financial support to the families of the deceased employees.
DEA Chief Executive Officer Muhammad Yaseen Khan Baloch has also cleared 163 long-pending leave encashment cases involving male and female teachers as well as other education department staff.
An amount of Rs64.928 million has been sanctioned for settlement of those leave encashment claims, taking the total approved funds in the two categories to more than Rs107 million.
