'Pakistan's role key to US-Iran talks'
Former AJK president Masood Khan says Pakistan has emerged as a key facilitator in ongoing US-Iran diplomatic efforts. He says sustained engagement could help conclude the memorandum of understanding under discussion.

ISLAMABAD: Former Azad Jammu and Kashmir president Masood Khan said on Sunday that Pakistan had emerged as the main facilitator in ongoing efforts aimed at reaching a diplomatic settlement between the United States and Iran.
In a statement, Khan said he believed continued engagement and practical diplomacy could help secure the successful conclusion of the memorandum of understanding currently under discussion.
He said the current phase should not be seen as a tactical lull before any renewed conflict. Instead, he described it as a serious diplomatic process focused on halting escalation and creating a basis for sustained engagement between Washington and Tehran.
Khan’s remarks presented Pakistan as playing a key role in efforts to support dialogue between the two countries as discussions continue over a possible agreement.
