Momina Iqbal drops explosive statement amid PML-N harassment controversy

Pakistani actor Momina Iqbal has escalated her ongoing clash with a PML-N-linked political figure, posting a fiery Instagram statement that has now sent social media into overdrive.

And this time, she did not hold back.

In a lengthy and emotionally charged message, Momina said she never needed “limelight” or financial gain from the controversy and made it clear she intends to pursue the matter publicly and legally “till the very end.”

The actress claimed she had been facing continuous harassment, cyberbullying and pressure, warning that people often only show support after tragedies happen.

“Had I been killed, or driven to suicide because of the continuous harassment and pressure, campaigns would have been run in my support afterward,” she wrote, adding that she chose to stand up for herself instead.

Momina also accused the opposing side of launching a smear campaign against her rather than addressing the actual allegations. According to her, attempts were made to shift attention using “character assassination” and “cheap tactics.”

But the line that truly exploded online came at the end of her statement.

“I have built my respect through years of hard work, not by repeatedly selling the kidneys of poor people.”

The cryptic but razor-sharp remark instantly triggered speculation online because the controversy has now become linked to Saqib Chadhar, whose name surfaced after both parties appeared before the NCCIA in Lahore.

Social media users quickly connected Momina’s comment to old allegations against Chadhar, who was arrested by the FIA in 2017 over claims of involvement in an illegal kidney transplant racket operating in Murree and Rawalpindi. Old clips and reports tied to that case have now resurfaced and are circulating widely again online.

Momina also revealed that she submitted digital evidence and alleged threatening messages to the NCCIA during questioning that reportedly lasted several hours.

Meanwhile, Chadhar has denied all allegations of harassment and threats.

The controversy has now spilled far beyond entertainment circles and into political territory, especially after Maryam Nawaz Sharif directed authorities to ensure a transparent investigation free from political interference.

Momina has also promised a full press conference, claiming she will present “every single claim with proper evidence.”

For now, social media is fully locked into the drama, with hashtags, old videos, and political accusations turning the case into one of the internet’s biggest celebrity-political controversies this week.
