Pakistani actor Momina Iqbal has shared a deeply emotional account of the toll that an ongoing harassment and defamation battle has taken on her mental health, revealing that there were moments when she felt death would have brought more peace than the life she was living.
In a series of Instagram Stories, Momina broke her silence on what she described as years of harassment, fabricated allegations and character assassination, saying she could no longer remain silent.
The actor also explained why she chose to publicly identify individuals she believes are responsible, despite repeated advice from friends and well-wishers to avoid naming them.
“Everyone tells me not to mention or expose these people, but what I have endured for years, I do not want another woman to go through,” she wrote, adding that she wanted other women to be aware of the people she claims caused her harm.

But it was her next statement that struck the strongest chord online.
“I raised my voice because I was exhausted. I was forced into it because no other option was left. Every day is now spent proving the truth,” she wrote.
“Sometimes I think it would have been better if I had committed suicide. If not a life of dignity, at least I would have found peace in death. Then there would have been justice for Momina.”
The heartbreaking remarks quickly drew attention across social media, with many users expressing concern over the emotional burden she described. Momina also pushed back against those calling her brave for speaking out, insisting that her decision was not driven by courage but by desperation.

According to the actor, she only chose to go public after exhausting every other avenue available to her.
The posts come amid an ongoing legal dispute in which Momina approached the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency and the Federal Investigation Agency over alleged online harassment and intimidation.
She has accused a ruling-party lawmaker of orchestrating a campaign against her and has expressed frustration that individuals named in the case were granted bail despite the allegations.
According to the complaint, authorities registered a case under multiple provisions of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) and the Pakistan Penal Code after she submitted digital evidence, including alleged threatening messages directed at her and her family.
Momina has alleged that the harassment began after she declined a marriage proposal upon discovering the individual was already married.
While the legal case continues, her latest statements have shifted public attention to the personal cost of the battle — one she says has consumed years of her life and left her fighting every day simply to prove her truth.
