AJK premier offers condolences to Altaf Ahmed Bhat over mother’s death

ISLAMABAD: Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Faisal Mumtaz Rathore visited the residence of senior Hurriyat leader and Jammu Kashmir Salvation Movement Chairman Altaf Ahmed Bhat to offer condolences on the death of Bhat’s mother.

During the visit, Rathore expressed sympathy with Bhat and prayed that the deceased be granted the highest place in Jannah. He also prayed for patience and strength for the bereaved family as they cope with what was described as an irreparable loss.

Condolence visit

The AJK premier’s visit was held to convey solidarity with the family following the bereavement. Rathore personally went to the residence of the JKSM chairman to extend condolences over the passing of his mother.

The condolence meeting was attended by a number of political and social figures from the Kashmiri community. Those present included Political Assistant Syed Azadar Hussain Kazmi, All Parties Hurriyat Conference former convener Mehmood Ahmed Saghar, and APHC Secretary General Advocate Parvez Shah.

Former Rawalpindi mayor Sardar Naseem Khan was also among the attendees. Others present on the occasion included Kashmir Post editor Mohiuddin Dar, Hurriyat leaders Sanaullah Dar and Abdul Ghani Sameem, as well as Abraheem Altaf Bhat and Asmaeal Altaf Bhat.

Political and social figures attend

Several other Kashmiri political and social personalities were also present during the condolence visit. The gathering reflected support for Altaf Ahmed Bhat and his family at a time of mourning.

Rathore’s message focused on prayers for the departed soul and words of comfort for the family. He asked Allah Almighty to bless the deceased with the highest ranks in Jannah and to grant the family the fortitude to bear the loss.

The visit formed part of the AJK prime minister’s expression of sympathy with the senior Hurriyat leader, who also heads the JKSM. No further details were provided in the report beyond the list of attendees and the prayers offered by Rathore during the condolence call.
