 ISLAMABAD: In a strong display of national unity and pride, Pakistan’s diplomatic missions across the world on Friday observed the first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq (The Battle of Truth), paying rich tribute to the unmatched valor, professionalism, and operational excellence of the Pakistan Armed Forces.

The commemorations highlighted the firm rejection of Indian aggression and celebrated Pakistan’s resolute defence of its sovereignty during Operation Bunyanum Marsoos, when Pakistan’s armed forces acted as an iron wall against hostile designs and delivered a decisive response that, according to the statements, shattered Indian aggressive ambitions.

Across various capitals, the events reaffirmed how Pakistan’s armed forces defended the motherland with exemplary courage, sending a clear message that any attempt to violate Pakistan’s sovereignty would be met with a decisive response, as demonstrated one year ago.

 

UNITED KINGDOM

The High Commission for Pakistan in London marked the first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq at a ceremony attended by British parliamentarians, Pakistan-origin councillors, business leaders, officers of the High Commission, media representatives, and a large number of members of the Pakistani diaspora in the United Kingdom.

In his keynote address, Acting High Commissioner Haseeb bin Aziz said the gathering paid the highest tribute to Pakistan’s armed forces, describing them as fearless soldiers, sailors, and airmen who stood as an iron shield in defence of the homeland.

He said that during Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos, the response of the armed forces was swift, precise, and decisive, reflecting operational excellence that earned recognition globally. He also acknowledged the Pakistani diaspora in the UK for standing as true ambassadors of Pakistan and showing unwavering solidarity during Marka-e-Haq.

Defence and Naval Adviser Cdre. Jawad Khawaja SI(M) SBt. and Army and Air Adviser Col. Mohsin Waqar said Pakistan’s defence forces, in exemplary coordination, thwarted hostile designs and safeguarded national sovereignty.

Minister (Press) Ali Nawaz Malik briefed participants on efforts by the High Commission to engage British media during Marka-e-Haq and to counter what he described as a false narrative through effective communication of Pakistan’s principled stance.

Members of the Pakistani community paid glowing tribute to the armed forces, political leadership, and the nation for standing united during the event.

The gathering pledged that Marka-e-Haq would continue to serve as a unifying symbol for building a stronger and more resilient Pakistan.

 RUSSIA

A ceremony was held at the Embassy of Pakistan in Moscow as a symbol of national unity, resilience, and commitment to regional stability.

Addressing the event, Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi said Pakistan’s response during Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos to Indian aggression was measured, lawful, and in accordance with international law.

He highlighted effective coordination between political and military leadership, along with strong public support and the unwavering resolve of the armed forces in defending sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Members of the Pakistani diaspora in Russia also participated, expressing collective solidarity and appreciation for the civil leadership and armed forces, while reaffirming confidence in Pakistan’s leadership and its continued progress.

The ceremony concluded with the screening of a documentary highlighting the events of Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos.

 

BELGIUM

The Embassy of Pakistan in Brussels also held a commemorative ceremony reaffirming the country’s commitment to sovereignty and national security.

The event was attended by a large number of Pakistani diaspora members from Belgium and Luxembourg, including business leaders, students, and media representatives.

The ceremony began with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an, followed by the screening of a documentary on Marka-e-Haq.

Ambassador Rahim Hayat Qureshi paid rich tribute to Pakistan’s leadership, armed forces, national resilience, and media, and also honored the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in defence of the country.

He said national strength lay in unity and collective resolve, which remained essential for Pakistan’s stability and progress. He also appreciated the diaspora for promoting a positive image of Pakistan and strengthening people-to-people ties.

The event concluded with prayers for the martyrs and for peace, progress, and prosperity of Pakistan.

 

TURKIYE

The Embassy of Pakistan in Ankara observed the anniversary with a dignified ceremony attended by Member of Parliament Burhan Kayatürk, Rector Ankara Bilim University Prof. Dr. Yavuz Demir, President Geostrategic Foresight Institute Dr. Güray Alpar, Ambassador (R) Numan Hazar, Turkish Foreign Ministry representatives, think tanks, academia, media, and members of the Pakistani community.

Ambassador Yousaf Junaid paid tribute to the professionalism and courage of the armed forces and the nation during Marka-e-Haq.

He said Pakistan remained committed to international law, peace, and responsible conduct while exercising its legitimate right to self-defence through Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos with restraint and resolve. He reiterated Pakistan’s consistent advocacy for dialogue and de-escalation while remaining fully prepared to defend sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Turkish Member of Parliament Burhan Kayatürk reaffirmed Türkiye’s support for Pakistan and stressed that strong defence capabilities act as a deterrent to conflict and help preserve peace. He also praised Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts for regional stability and calls for dialogue amid tensions.

Dr. Güray Alpar emphasized the importance of peace, dialogue, and adherence to international law in resolving disputes, particularly the Jammu and Kashmir issue, and warned against the weaponisation of resources such as water.

Former Ambassador Numan Hazar said lasting peace required adherence to international law and implementation of UN resolutions, adding that while nations must defend themselves, sustainable peace can only be achieved through dialogue and diplomacy.

Special documentary marks one year of ‘Marka-e-Haq’ success

In related development, a special documentary has been released marking one year since the success of “Marka-e-Haq,” highlighting Pakistan’s reliance on multi-domain operations in response to Indian provocations.

The documentary states that Pakistan responded to Indian aggression through coordinated multi-domain warfare, demonstrating operational strength across multiple domains.

Pakistani drones ensured continuous surveillance and monitoring of sensitive areas, maintaining real-time situational awareness during the Marka e Haq.

Pakistan Air Force (PAF) delivered a strong response in the aerial domain, effectively countering threats through timely action and operational readiness.

The documentary highlighted that the Pakistan Navy’s advanced submarines and weapon systems prevented any maritime advancement by the adversary in the region.

During the operation, a fully integrated command-and-control system ensured swift and effective communication among the three services, enabling coordinated responses.

The documentary also underscored the role of cyber, space, information, and electronic warfare capabilities in disrupting opposing communication networks.

Close alignment between diplomatic and military efforts played a key role in shaping Pakistan’s overall strategic approach during the operation.
