'Curb your excitement': Iran’s sarcastic 4-step advice for Trump goes viral

The diplomatic world has officially entered the "troll era," and Iran’s latest response to Donald Trump is absolute gold. After the US President took to social media to celebrate a "GREAT AND BRILLIANT DAY FOR THE WORLD," claiming Iran had agreed to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and hand over its "nuclear dust," the Iranian embassy decided to offer some unsolicited life coaching.

In a sarcastic four-step guide, the embassy mocked Trump’s excitement, telling him to "have a little prestige" and—most hilariously—to "block Bibi [Netanyahu] for one week." The post essentially told the President to put down the phone, relax, and stop listening to the Israeli Prime Minister if he actually wants to see progress.

The trolling comes after Trump made a series of bizarre claims during a press conference and on Truth Social. He asserted that a "transaction" was 100% underway and that the US would soon be using "big machinery" to excavate what he called "nuclear dust" from deep underground in Iran—material he claims was created during previous B2 bomber strikes.

Iran was quick to shut this down. While there is a fragile ceasefire in place, Tehran clarified that they have not agreed to any "excavation" and warned that if the US blockade on Iranian ports continues, the Strait of Hormuz will remain under "strict management." In short: they aren't handing over the keys—or the dust—just yet.

Social media users are calling this the ultimate win for Iranian "digital diplomacy." Between the military tensions and the global energy crisis, the embassy’s cheeky suggestion for Trump to "eat a light dinner and sleep well" has struck a chord.

"In this war, Iran has highly impressed me on two counts," one viral comment read. "One, their fighting spirit, and two, their social media skills. They win hands down."

As embassies around the world join in on the "USA trolling," it seems the battle for the Strait of Hormuz is being fought just as hard on X (formerly Twitter) as it is on the water. For now, the world is watching to see if Trump actually takes the advice to "relax"—though knowing his track record, a "block" on Netanyahu seems highly unlikely.
