Police raid café-club in DHA, arrest 21 over alleged obscene dance party
Police in Karachi said they raided a café-club in DHA Phase 6 and arrested 21 people over an alleged obscene dance party. Authorities said an FIR was registered and hookahs, flavoured tobacco and speakers were seized.

KARACHI: Police in Karachi carried out a late-night raid on a café-club in DHA Phase 6 on Sunday, disrupting what they described as an “obscene dance party” and arresting 21 individuals, including 16 men and five women.
According to officials, the operation took place at a venue located in Chota Nishat, Commercial Lane 4, after authorities received a tip-off about activities at the premises. The club was reportedly hosting a gathering involving loud music, dancing, and the use of hookah and sheesha.
Police said that as the raid unfolded, several attendees managed to flee the scene. Among those who escaped was an individual identified as Farwa.
Those taken into custody have been charged with engaging in obscene acts, indecent dancing, and using prohibited items such as hookah and sheesha at the venue. During the raid, authorities confiscated three hookahs, 11 packs of flavoured tobacco, and large sound system equipment.
An FIR has been registered against the suspects under multiple legal provisions, including Sections 294, 269, 270, and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code, along with Sections 4 and 6 of the Sound System Ordinance 2015.
Police stated that further investigation is underway to identify other individuals involved and determine the full extent of the activities at the venue.
