Speeding luxury car crashes into vehicle on Lahore Ring Road
A speeding luxury vehicle hit another car on Lahore Ring Road near Kahna Kacha Interchange, injuring one motorist, while the driver fled the scene. In a separate accident near Gajjumata, a woman and her 12-year-old son were killed.

LAHORE: A luxury vehicle being driven recklessly collided with another car on Lahore Ring Road on Thursday, leaving the struck vehicle almost wrecked, according to police and footage shared on social media.
The video clip circulating online showed the driver moving the vehicle in a zigzag manner on the high-speed road near the Kahna Kacha Interchange. The footage indicated that he ignored safety precautions and endangered other motorists by overtaking dangerously from the wrong side, using the left lane.
As seen in the clip, the driver suddenly swerved into the left lane and hit another car. Following the impact, both vehicles became lodged against the Ring Road’s protective fencing.
The driver of the luxury vehicle abandoned his four-wheeler at the scene and fled in an apparent attempt to avoid police action. He was later identified as Ali Shah.
A police official said the driver of the other car sustained injuries. The Ring Road police reached the site after being alerted and began legal proceedings.
The official said a first information report had subsequently been registered against the driver who escaped, and police teams had started efforts to arrest him.
Separate fatal accident near Gajjumata
In another traffic accident reported near Gajjumata, a woman and her 12-year-old son were killed.
A Rescue spokesperson said a speeding car struck a motorcycle, resulting in the deaths of Naseem, 35, and her son Zamam, 12.
Both incidents were reported on the same day and underscored the dangers posed by rash driving on busy roads in Lahore.
A police official said the car rider suffered injuries and the Ring Road police reached the site on being alerted to initiate action.
A Rescue spokesperson said a rashly driven car hit a motorbike which led to the death of Naseem (35) and her son, Zamam (12).
