Four killed in road accident in Punjab

ISLAMABAD: A collision between a car and a rickshaw killed four people including three women in Punjab on Tuesday, police said.

Several others were injured in the accident that occurred after the over-speeding car collided with the rickshaw on the GT road near Rahim Yar Khan, police officials in the area told media.

Three people lost their lives on the spot while another succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital, the police said, adding that the accident occurred due to the negligence of the car driver.

Following the crash, the police and rescue teams rushed to the site and shifted the victims to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
