Sindh CM directs strict security measures for Youm-i-Ali and Al Quds Day events
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has ordered comprehensive security and special traffic plans for Youm-i-Ali and Al Quds Day events across the province.

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on Monday instructed law enforcement agencies to implement comprehensive security arrangements for Youm-i-Ali and Al Quds Day processions and gatherings throughout the province.
During a meeting held at the Chief Minister's House to review preparations for the upcoming religious events, the chief minister emphasized the need for "foolproof security". He directed the inspector general of police to devise a special traffic management plan to ensure maximum convenience for citizens during these occasions.
Youm-i-Ali is scheduled to be observed on Wednesday, while Al Quds Day rallies and events are set for March 13 (Friday). The meeting was attended by provincial ministers Sharjeel Inam Memon, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar, and Riaz Shah Shirazi, along with Chief Secretary Asif Hyder Shah, Inspector General of Police Javed Alam Odho, Karachi Commissioner Hassan Naqvi, Additional IG Karachi Azad Khan, Additional IG Counter Terrorism Department Zulfiqar Larik, and other senior officials.
Officials at the meeting informed the participants that comprehensive arrangements regarding security, logistics, and communication have been finalized across Sindh for the upcoming events. The chief minister reiterated the importance of ensuring the safety of all participants and maintaining smooth traffic flow during the processions and gatherings.
The meeting concluded with directives to all relevant departments to remain vigilant and coordinate closely to address any potential security concerns during Youm-i-Ali and Al Quds Day.
