Antarctica volcano emits gold worth $6,000 daily

An active volcano nestled within Antarctica's icy expanse, Mount Erebus, is currently spewing gold dust valued at approximately $6,000 per day, as reported by the New York Post.
Regarded as one of the planet's most intense and southerly active volcanoes, Mount Erebus emits an estimated 80 grams of gold dust daily. This phenomenon has been observed as far as 621 miles away from the volcano's southernmost location on Earth.
Accessing the vicinity of Mount Erebus proves challenging due to its remote location. Consequently, scientists studying the volcano and its impacts rely on satellite technology for their research.
According to findings from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Earth Observatory, Mount Erebus not only releases gold dust but also emits various gases and steam, occasionally ejecting rock fragments known as "bombs," rendering it a hazardous environment.
Geologists suggest that the volcano's location above a thin portion of the Earth's crust facilitates the upward movement of rocks from the planet's interior.
In a separate volcanic incident, Indonesian authorities recently evacuated thousands of individuals following a series of eruptions from Mount Ruang, which occurred five times. These eruptions prompted the closure of a nearby airport and raised concerns about potential tsunamis due to falling debris.
