‘Country’s prestige and dignity supreme’
Earlier on Saturday, Interior Minister Naqvi also visited Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport to inspect operations and ensure the protection of Pakistan’s prestige. He stated that passengers with incomplete or unattested documents, as well as professional beggars disguised as travelers, would not be allowed to board flights.
“Nothing is more important than Pakistan’s honour and prestige, and no one will be allowed to bring shame to the country,” he said. Naqvi emphasized that travelers with valid documents would not be hindered and that the government continues to prioritize facilitating passengers.
The minister observed the immigration process, interacted with passengers heading abroad, and inquired about their treatment by airport staff. He personally checked the documents of travelers to Saudi Arabia and directed FIA officials to verify certain documents, commending ASI Amir Lashari for stopping three passengers with incomplete documents. “Officers like Lashari, who perform their duties diligently, are an asset,” Naqvi remarked. FIA Karachi Regional Director was also present during the inspection.
