Major details emerge on 2 new PSL teams

Two new teams for the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11 are on the verge of being finalized. Inverex Solar Group, a prominent renewable energy company, has emerged as one of the strongest contenders for a new PSL franchise. If successful, the team is expected to represent either Faisalabad or Rawalpindi. Inverex Solar has maintained a long-standing partnership with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and PSL, having been a sponsor for nearly a decade, which further strengthens its position in the bidding process.

In addition to Inverex Solar, reports indicate that the Aga Khan Group is also exploring its involvement in the league. The group is said to be interested in acquiring a franchise, potentially based in Gilgit, which would add another exciting dimension to the PSL’s geographical spread.

As PSL 11 approaches, the league’s highly coveted trophy is set to go on a promotional tour across the United Kingdom. Fans in major cities like London and Manchester will have the chance to view the trophy and meet some of the league’s star cricketers. PSL CEO Salman Naseer is expected to oversee the tour, which aims to connect with the large Pakistani fanbase in the UK while also attracting new commercial partnerships. The final schedule for the tour is expected to be announced soon.
