LAHORE: The 15th Royal Palm Team Trophy teed off with flair and excitement at the scenic Royal Palm Golf and Country Club, as the opening day witnessed the ladies in action, delivering a captivating display of skill and determination.

The lush greens of Royal Palm came alive with competitive spirit as golfers showcased their precision and composure despite the challenging course conditions. Leading the charge was Ana James Gill, who produced a remarkable performance to seize the gross winner’s title with an impressive score of 70 gross.

Her calm approach and consistent play helped her navigate the tricky fairways and greens, earning her a well-deserved lead. Zebun Nisa followed closely to claim the second position, while Arooj Kanwal of Royal Palm secured third place in the gross category.

In the net section, Saqiba Batool of the host club emerged triumphant, displaying excellent control and steady rhythm throughout her round. Alha Amjad took the runner-up position, while Dr. Shaheen Irfan finished third, adding further depth to an already competitive field.

The young and emerging female golfers, including Ana and Zebun, drew praise for their growing confidence and ability to handle pressure with maturity. Their spirited participation highlighted the encouraging rise of women’s golf in Pakistan and the increasing emphasis on nurturing talent at the grassroots level.
