LAHORE: Schools and colleges across Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Islamabad remain in limbo as protests by a religious political party continue and security stays on high alert.
Authorities have yet to announce whether educational institutions will reopen on Monday, October 13, or remain closed due to the tense situation. Road blockages from rallies and sit-ins have disrupted daily life, making travel and communication difficult in all three cities.
Officials had earlier ordered the closure of schools and colleges before the march toward Islamabad, citing safety concerns. Private school associations also declared Saturday a holiday in these areas.
A final decision on reopening is expected once security officials review the situation and confirm that it is safe for students and staff to return.
