- The students’ death toll rises to six and overall to eight, including the bus driver and cleaner
KHUZDAR: The death toll of children from Khuzdar bus attack rose to six and overall to eight as three injured students succumbed to their wounds in Quetta hospital on Friday.
According to the hospital, the latest victims were named as Hayder and Malika, who were critically injured in the terrorist attack and embraced martyrdom in the hospital on Friday.
The six martyred students now included five girls and a boy.
The overall death toll now stands at eight, including the driver and the cleaner of the bus.
The hospital administration, a 12-year-old injured student, was shifted to Quetta, where she succumbed to her injuries. A total of 35 injured are still under treatment, with the condition of five girls reported to be critical.
Security sources confirmed that Sehar Saleem, an 8th-grade student, was undergoing treatment but could not survive her wounds and passed away.
Meanwhile, a case of the terrorist attack on the school bus has been registered at the CTD police station in Khuzdar.
The FIR, filed by the police, includes charges of murder, attempted murder, and terrorism.
Yesterday, terrorists of Finta al-Hindustan targeted a school bus in Khuzdar, killing five people, including three girl students.
The ISPR DG said that India, after its humiliating defeat on the border, was now trying to destabilize Pakistan through its “proxies.”
“India has been using proxies in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan to destabilize Pakistan, but we will not tolerate these kinds of attacks and will adopt a hard strategy to tackle them,” the DG told a presser.
