KHUZDAR: At least six people were killed and 20 others injured on Wednesday after a head-on collision between three passenger buses in the Ornach area of Khuzdar district.
Deputy commissioner Khuzdar confirmed the accident and said that the coaches were on their way to Karachi and were coming from Khuzdar, Quetta and Panjgur.
Frontier Corps and Levies reached the spot after the road accident and started rescue activities.
The driver of the bus was killed in the accident along with other passengers. Women are also among the dead.
Levies sources said that a Karachi bound passenger coach coming from Quetta, another Panjgur bound coach coming from Karachi and a trailer collided with each other near Ornach area of district Khuzdar.
Six people died on the spot in the accident while 20 others including women and children were injured.
Nine among the injured were shifted to Jinnah Hospital Karachi while the rest were taken to hospitals in Bela and Wadh. According to hospital sources, many of the injured are in critical condition.
Most of the people who died and injured in the accident hailed from district Khuzdar.
